Try to install the software from the download as its latest version its will prompt you to remove the old version on your computer and follow onscreen instruction you be able to install the software If it's placed in a temporary file you will not be able to open your dongle.

The green light goes on in the dongle but the light on the computer tower flickers and then goes off. I've spent a few hours trying to get the 3D Husqvarna Embroidering system installed under Windows.

Guess I'll be doing it on my own. The one I worked on interfaced with the Parallel Port and worked fine.

Now, a bit wiser in the whole scheme of things, I could get a less expensive brand and figure it out. It took a lot of wrestling but here's how I got it to work. I have XP and 3d software so I'm compatible and haven't had those issues. I'm going to be in the same predicament if my older computer fails And yet, I am still unable to register; has anyone had such a problem and how did you fix it.

I seriously doubt your 4D will work with Win10 since my 6D doesn't work. Before I learned how to do this myself, the dealer did it for me at no charge.

I thought there would be some kind of upgrade for the D1 but apparently not.

All computer software becomes obsolete after a few years it seems. That upgrade takes a while, but the steps provided on Microsoft's site, were fmbroidery to follow. Had the same problem with my software and had to download the embfoidery for the dongle from the Viking website. Unfortunately some people are having this problem when they are not properly installing the updates. Each time I try to register the software a box pops up and says that I need to attach my dongle that it is not recognized.

If you installed the 4D Embroidery System software before installing the latest dongle drivers and if you experience problems such as the error message "Unable to start hasplms service I am so angry at Viking for not supporting 4D software.

The dongle that you need to use for the computer is shorter embrojdery the storage device. In case you have not solved your problem yet - Embroiidery had a similar problem. Are there any fixes for this?
